CONNECTED AMBULANCES

AMBULANCES LOSE CONNECTIVITY. PATIENT AND OPERATIONAL DATA SHOULD NOT

"Anywhere Internet" connectivity provides a resilient communications layer that keeps ambulances connected across cellular, satellite and

available networks — without replacing existing clinical or fleet systems

Network Equity does not replace your dispatch system, clinical platform, GPS application or ambulance communications equipment

We provide the resilient connectivity layer that helps those systems remain connected as the vehicle moves between available communications networks

DESIGNED FOR COMPLEX OPERATING ENVIRONMENTS

From dense urban networks to regional highways and remote operating areas, the architecture is designed to maintain the strongest practical connection available as an ambulance moves between network environments

We are currently exploring pilot opportunities with ambulance operators, hospital groups and emergency medical service providers interested in evaluating resilient connectivity under Pacific operating conditions

CONNECTIVITY BENEFITS

Eliminates communication failures in hilly terrain, cyclone belts, rural black spots and monsoon outages

Supports faster triage, real-time specialist input and improved hospital load balanc

Potential uptime

Up to 99.5%+ using bonded Starlink + 5G/4G

Clinical coordination
Support real-time communication between crews and receiving facilities

Fleet visibility
Protect GPS, telemetry and dispatch connectivity

Crew simplicity
Connectivity switching happens underneath existing applications

Resilience
Multiple communications pathways reduce dependence on any single carrier

BEFORE Network Equity + Edge Spark®

Ambulance connectivity depends heavily on individual mobile networks. As vehicles move through weak coverage areas, GPS, telemetry, video, dispatch data and communication with receiving hospitals can become unreliable or drop out completely

With Network Equity + Edge Spark®

A resilient connectivity layer automatically uses the best available network pathway — including cellular and satellite — helping keep the ambulance, dispatch team and receiving hospital connected without replacing existing fleet or clinical systems

THE PROBLEM

Ambulances move constantly between strong, weak and unavailable network coverage. When connectivity drops, GPS, telemetry, video, dispatch information and communication with receiving hospitals can become unreliable

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is not simply about putting internet into an ambulance. It is about maintaining the digital link between the patient, paramedic, dispatch team and receiving health service — supporting better coordination, visibility and continuity of care while the vehicle is moving

HOW IT WORKS

Network Equity + EdgeSpark® provides a resilient connectivity layer beneath existing ambulance systems. It automatically uses the strongest available pathway across cellular, satellite and other networks, helping keep critical applications connected without replacing existing fleet, clinical or communications platforms

WHY IT MATTERS

Better connectivity can support better continuity of care

For ambulance crews, it provides another tool when clinical advice or information is needed

For hospitals, it can provide earlier visibility of the patient's condition and likely requirements

For health systems, it creates an opportunity to improve coordination between pre-hospital and hospital care

For patients — particularly those travelling long distances — it can reduce the clinical isolation that exists between the point of collection and the point of treatment

In remote and regional settings, where transport times may be significant, that opportunity becomes even more important

HOW A PILOT COULD WORK

Start with a small number of ambulances operating across selected routes or service areas

Test the solution under real operating conditions, measure connectivity and operational performance, gather crew feedback and assess the case for broader deployment

Start small. Prove the value. Scale when the case is clear

WHO IS BEHIND IT

Connected Ambulances is being developed through Network Equity, an initiative of FNC Projects, working with specialist technology and implementation partners

The approach brings together experience in remote service delivery, telecommunications, digital connectivity, health systems and project development

Our role is not simply to introduce technology

It is to work with ambulance services and health partners to understand the operating environment, identify where connectivity can make a meaningful difference and develop a practical pathway from concept to implementation

LETS TALK

Every ambulance service operates in a different environment

The first step is therefore not a technology proposal — it is a conversation

If your organisation is exploring improved ambulance connectivity, telehealth, clinical information exchange or better communication between ambulances and receiving hospitals, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss what a small pilot could look like
