OUR STORY
Local Experience, Global Partnerships
Fair Communities was founded by leaders with decades of experience working alongside Indigenous communities in Australia and Pacific peoples. In Vanuatu, our focus is on strengthening services and infrastructure through genuine partnership with local communities, provincial governments and national ministries.
Members of our team have worked across in Vanuatu, partnering with governments, NGOs and village leaders.
We share Vanuatu’s and Australia’s commitment to fairness, equity and resilience. Our approach aligns with AusAid’s principles of accountability, inclusivity and measurable impact. In Vanuatu, this means aligning with national development priorities and DFAT’s partnership framework, including:
Climate resilience and disaster preparedness – supporting communities to adapt to climate change and strengthen recovery systems.
Inclusive education and skills development – working with schools and training providers to expand opportunities for young people, women, and people with disabilities.
Health access and digital inclusion – using technology and community partnerships to improve access to essential health services and reliable connectivity.
Economic and social resilience – creating pathways for community enterprises, livelihoods, and women and youth empowerment.
By embedding these priorities into our work, Fair Communities ensures that every initiative delivers lasting, measurable outcomes for Ni-Vanuatu families and communities.
